In 2008 the International Coaching Federation (ICF) credentialed Chris Holmes a Coach, and the United Methodist Church endorsed Chris for the ministry of coaching in 2009. He is a pastor with 26 years of experience serving small to large churches and has seven year serving as District Superintendent in the Baltimore-Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church. In 2012 Chris began working as a full-time coach and coach-trainer across several denominations, and serving on the coach training faculty of Auburn Seminary. Chris has over 800 hours of coaching pastors in a variety of settings, has achieved the PCC level of certification and is now serving as the President of the Maryland Chapter of the International Coaching Federation.

In a dynamic and fruitful partnership with Chris Holmes, while serving an 8th year as lead pastor of a growing, downtown church, she completed a thesis project: “The Resilient Pastor: Leadership Practice in Crisis and Transition”. Vicki received her doctor of ministry degree (Wesley Theological Seminary/Lovett Weems) less than three years after the sudden, tragic death of her husband in 2011. Rev. Chris Owens is the Regional Missional Strategist for the Southern Region of the BaltimoreWashington Conference. In that role Chris serves as a coach, trainer and consultant for church leadership, growth and missional engagement for the churches in his region. Chris has been under appointment for 13 years having served churches in rural, suburban and urban areas, having also served multicultural and multiracial congregations. He received coach training and mentoring through the Coach Approach Skills Training courses and currently devotes nearly half of his ministry to coaching clergy and laity into leadership excellence. When not pastoring and coaching, Chris is a local musician, singing and playing bass in two successful rock bands.
